Faunbank Stables is a horse centred, livery, training and therapy yard. We provide live in training and therapy for long or short term stays. Our livery is mainly on a track system, with 5 looped tracks of approximately 1 km or half km. 4 tracks are wide and grassy with varying terrain, slopes and natural hedge and tree shelter and with trickle feeders. The 5th track is suited to good doers amd those prone to laminits, on bare ground. The tracks greatly increase movement and give the horse a more natural enviornment, and variety than a squre paddock. We have found that our hroses are really benefitting well from the track system. And the choice of tracks means that we can suit horses to companions in small groups

We are also available to visit your horse in his or her own environment for consultation or regular training and / or teaching. We also offer a variety of educational workshops and training days on various topics. We take a holistic approach and cater to each horse or ponies' individual needs. We take in horses with all manner of problems or training difficulties, anxiety, aggression and fear issues. Youngsters, for pre-backing ground work, backing and bringing on. And horses that just need bringing back into work, fittening or require retraining for a new career. (Retraining racehorses is a speciality). No project is too big or too small. Owner Anna Alderson, BHS registered Stage 3 coach in complete horsemanship and qualified equine massage and Myofascial Release practitioner, has over 25 years experience working in equine rehabilitation with troubled and difficult horses. Including plenty of experience in both competition and racing industries. We use a combination of traditional and natural horsemanship methods. Combined with equine massage and bodywork, corrective shoeing and herbal therapy. We have an on-site Zoopharmacognist, Sophie Xi-Zeta who is experienced at working with both horses emotional and physical needs. Sophie also trains owners/carers in Zoopharmacognisy, herbal choices and foraging for horses.
